The apparatus applies a downward force while simultaneously rotating the shaping wheels around the cap, causing the cap’s skirt to roll onto the bottle neck and replicate its screw thread. This method creates a strong barrier that is difficult to remove without leaving obvious traces of disruption.
A typical automatic ROPP capping machine consists of a conveyor system for transporting bottles, a mechanism for sorting and feeding caps, and a capping head. This version necessitates that the operator aligns caps and bottles while controlling the machine with two buttons.
The capping head is equipped with rollers that engage with the cap, exerting the necessary pressure and rotational motion to securely affix it to the bottle. These machines often function autonomously, skilled at handling a substantial number of bottles in a continuous production workflow. These can be integrated into packaging lines alongside other equipment such as bottle filling machines, labelling machines, and induction sealers to create a complete packaging solution.
Process Operation
The filled bottles fed on feeding conveyor through back pressure of the liquid filling machine conveyor and fed into an in-feed star wheel by in-feed worm. While moving in feed star wheel, bottles pick up caps one by one from delivery chute. The descending rotary sealing one heads hold bottle’s neck with desired pressure. The sealing is done in a programmed roll-on manner, accurate positioned of the caps is done mechanically by means of a rotating unscramble, to direct the caps correctly into the chute, when the chute is filled up the rotating unscramble drive is disengaged, hence, there is no chance to damage of caps. The sealing roller takes place due to rotating sealing head and transfer movement of sealing & threading rollers due to sealing cam. The sealed bottles are discharged by exist star wheel on conveyors.
