A suitable pump forces the material to be filtered into the filter’s shell, where it then flows through the filter’s internal plates. Clear filtrate leaves the bottom outlet after products are introduced into the plates through lateral holes and contaminants are captured on filter media. To ensure complete removal of filtered liquid, the filter incorporates an internal scavenging system.
Multiple combinations with different plate diameters and counts are available to achieve the desired filtering area and cake holding capacity.

The design is cGMP, with all contact parts made of AISI 316 L.
