The Lab Multi Mill efficiently handles a diverse array of wet and dry materials through granulation, pulverization, mixing, shredding, and chopping, all without requiring any extra specialized accessories. The device regulates the size reduction process by utilizing the concept of adjustable power swing hammer blades, featuring both knife and impact edges that rotate alongside a carefully selected screen. In contrast, none of the methods—grinding, compression, impact, or shearing—achieve controlled size reduction; these represent the four standard principles of reduction. Size can only be reduced in a controlled manner through shearing, unlike the other three methods.
The vertical rotor machine has streamlined the material flow process. As the material enters the chamber for processing, it moves towards the chamber’s edge and flows through the screen in both tangential and radial directions, ensuring that it does not become clogged or overheat.
Process Operation
To achieve the necessary level of particle size reduction, a Multi Mill operates on the principle of variable-force swing beaters equipped with knife and impact edges that rotate within a selected screen. The material is introduced into the hopper, which subsequently directs it into the processing chamber. Upon reaching the chamber’s edge, the material moves through the screen in both radial and tangential directions. Finally, the treated material is collected in the container located beneath the processing chamber.
